Director of Programs
Chimeria Gonzalez


As an Air Force Veteran and Military Spouse, Chimeria understands the tumultuous military life and has gained exposure to a variety of industries because of it. Her background includes hospitality, computer information systems, accounting, business management, and real estate. Once returning to her home state of Texas, she was able to pivot into her true passion of Cybersecurity. Chimeria now works as CSI Security Analyst at Abnormal Security. Chimeria joined Boots to Books after seeing what Peter and Aubrey were accomplishing and how she aligned with their vision. She enjoys riding horses and shooting whenever given the chance.

Aubrey Sine


Aubrey graduated from Chapman University in May of 2021 with a B.S. in Data Analytics. Behind him, Boots to Books makes data-driven decisions to better the non-profit and help as many Veterans as we can. Aubrey started a full-time role as a Solutions Architect for Twilio Segment. He helps troubleshoot and consult business-specific use cases for data collection and helps implement the software for numerous customers. Aubrey likes to read non-fiction and web design in his free time.

Peter Cline


Peter is an experienced finance and strategy professional who has now devoted his life to entrepreneurial endeavors that build community, empower the workforce, and strengthen our nation's economy. After serving as an Infantryman in the Army directly after high school, in which he won numerous awards, including being the fastest winner of all time of the rigorous Fort Benning Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year competition, and graduated from multiple military schools, such as Basic Leader Course at the top of his class, Peter completed his education in Chapman University's honors program. At Chapman, Peter graduated with the highest honors and won several awards for academic achievement and civic involvement. After attaining his degree, Peter worked in strategy consulting, advising leading public and private companies on their most difficult challenges, before transitioning to a corporate development role at a private-equity-backed software and media firm. While there, Peter worked on potential and realized acquisitions, including complex asset acquisitions and a multi-hundred-million-dollar carveout of a business unit from its public parent as part of a lean, four-person team. Peter brings his experience in M&A and corporate strategy from the nation's most innovative companies to Boots to Books to aid our military community. Peter has received the Lifetime Presidential Volunteer Service Award, the Don Lavoie Political Economy Fellowship, membership on numerous private and public sector boards, and is currently attaining a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University.
